Consistent service for business

I've been using Skyex for my Business Accounts now for over a year, mostly for client pickups and Executive Car Service to different London airports. This last trip, a Stansted Airport Transfer, was just as reliable as always. The drivers are consistently punctual and the vehicles are always clean and comfortable. I've tried others in the past, but Skyex has been the most dependable. The billing for the business account is also really clear, which helps a lot. No complaints on consistency, which is key for us.

Reliable minicab

Booked a Minicab Service for an Ealing pickup. Driver was on time. Car was clean. Got to my destination without issues. Payment was easy. Decent service.

Detailed review of my Luton transfer

I booked a Luton Airport Transfer for an early morning flight. The Skyex website was easy to navigate for booking, and I received confirmation quickly via email. On the day, the driver arrived about 10 minutes early, which was great as I was a bit anxious about traffic. The car, a standard saloon, was spotless inside and out. The driver was polite, quiet, and drove safely, getting me to Luton well within time. I also appreciated being able to track the driver's location on the app before he arrived. The fixed price booking was exactly what I paid, no surprises. The only thing I could suggest for improvement might be a text update when the driver is, say, 5 minutes away, rather than just the 'on the way' notification. But really, it was a smooth and professional service from start to finish.

Good airport transfer service

I used Skyex for a Heathrow Terminal 5 pickup recently. The car was on time and the driver was professional. Booking online was straightforward enough. I thought the price was fair compared to other services. My only small issue was the communication about the Meet and Greet; it wasn't super clear exactly where the driver would be waiting, though we found each other eventually. Overall, a solid choice for airport travel.

Easy ride to Gatwick

Needed a ride to Gatwick last minute for an early flight. Booked a Gatwick Airport Transfer with Skyex through their app. It was super easy, just tapped a few things and it was done. The driver showed up right on time, helped with my bags, and the car was comfy. Got to the airport with no stress at all. Would definitely use them again for airport stuff, just made things a lot smoother.

Hey, thinking of booking an airport transfer to Heathrow T5. How early do people usually book this thing? Don't want to get stuck last minute.

J Julia 1 month ago
I always do it at least 24 hours out, especially for airports. Gives me peace of mind.

Yeah, depends on the time of year too. During holidays, I'd book a few days ahead if you can, otherwise 12-24 hours usually works fine in my experience.

Anyone used one of those first booking discounts? How much do you actually save? Wondering if it's worth downloading the app just for that.

I got like £5 off my first one to Gatwick. Not huge but every little helps, right?

Yeah, usually £5-10. Worth it if you're planning to use them anyway. Just gotta remember to put the code in the app.

Is SkyEx generally cheaper than just hailing a black cab off the street for a ride within West London?

M Mark 2 months ago
Definitely cheaper. Black cabs have those regulated meters, SkyEx is usually a fixed price you see upfront.

L Lisa Doyle 2 months ago
Yeah, for sure. SkyEx is like a minicab service, so it's almost always more budget-friendly than a black cab, especially for pre-booked trips.

Trying to compare SkyEx with Uber for an early morning airport run. Anyone got strong feelings one way or another on reliability or pricing?

M Mia P. 1 month ago
SkyEx usually gives you a fixed price which is nice, no surprises. Uber can surge at weird hours sometimes.

I've found SkyEx to be super reliable for airport stuff, always on time. Uber can be hit or miss depending on driver availability, especially at odd hours. For pre-booked, SkyEx feels safer.

Anyone know if SkyEx lets you pay by card in the car? Or is it all online prepay?

P Paula A. 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure it's all pre-booked and paid through the app or online. Don't think drivers carry card machines.

S Sarah 2 months ago
I've only ever paid when booking online, either card or PayPal. Never had an option to pay in the car.
